Mucus colitis: This is consistent with mucus colitis which can occur with an irritable bowel syndrome or a viral intestinal tract infection. Diarrhea usually accompanies both. At this time I recommend avoidance of harsh roughage and I expect gradual improvement. See your M D if symptoms persist or you note abdominal pain, distension or inability to have a bowel movement.

Diarrhea : Your are describing something that is not uncommon- mucous secretion after diarrhea. This should resolve within a few days.
