I have a swollen gland j=on the left side of my face just below the back of my jaw. how do i treat this? ice or heat?

Depends: NSAID's and warm compresses in general but the issue is the cause of the lymph node swelling. If there is not an obvious cause like a sore throat, upper respiratory infection and it does not go away see your doctor.
