I was diagnosed w hsv2 a few yrs ago. took an at home hiv test seven mos after possible exposure and it was negative. my l ear has been blocked for almost 2 mos and for some reason i cant shake the idea of hiv. am i just being paranoid?

Not HIV, no worries: You really needn't worry about HIV. HIV would not cause blocked ear as the main symptom (get checked for ear wax build up). The home HIV test is very reliable any time 3+ months after the last possible exposure, but you could have a lab-based test for even further reassurance. Almost certainly you do not have HIV. The vast majority of people with HSV2 never get HIV.
