Side effect: 10 or > % of people can experience rapid heart rate on wellbutrin. 1% to 10% may have cardiac arrhythmias &/or chest pain. It is very important that you are not taking in significant amounts of caffeine with wellbutrin. I work with my patients to taper down their caffeine before wellbutrin is started. Not normal: Sounds like the fast resting heart beat started after starting on Wellbutrin. If so this is a side effect which needs to be reported immediately to your doctor.
