Oral or IV contrast?: Oral contrast is sometimes given in MRI (e.g., MRCP) - in which case it shouldn't be considered "breaking fast" because it had a medical purpose. If the contrast was given intravenously, it's best to drink water & stay hydrated to help the kidneys flush it out. You don't need solid food, only liquids. Why was MRI done?
