Embedded?: I take it that you mean "embedded" to suggest a more difficult to treat infection, as this term is not used to describe urinary tract infections. The course of treatment is usually 3 days (uncomplicated cystitis (bladder infxn) or 7-10 days of therapy for a pyelonephritis, which has affected the kidneys. In men, treatment times may need to be longer 7-10 days for urinary tract infection.
