A member asked:

If your having chest pain from possible mesothelioma would it be big enough to be seen on a x-ray or ct scan?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably: Your lung is inside the pleural cavity a space in your chest. Mesothelioma may affect the pleura of the lung, the lung itself or the pleura of the chest wall. The majority of the time if it was causing chest pain you might see it on X-ray but would be very likely to see it on CT scan
