No: Lactating breasts can harden at times, and remain hardened even after expression. However, if you are concerned, get a breast exam by your OB provider.

Get it Checked asap: Unlikely cancer but since you have hard sore feeling &hardness,you should get it checked by your doctor.It may just be mastitis in that case you can continue to nurse the baby.Mastitis happens when bacteria enter the breast through the nipple.Going long stretch between nursing and failing to enter the breast completely may also contribute,Treated with Antibiotics.5to11%will develop Breast Abscess
