I stopped breastfeeding completely about a week ago and was gently weaning. i have had now for last couple of days all of a sudden pain in my right breast its sore to touch and feels hard and lumpy at parts. could i have developed mastitis?

Maybe: Sometimes these are plugged lacteals (channels where BM is distributed) that may clear if you express breast milk enough to remove the blockage. A warm compress may help relax surrounding tissues. If it feels hot or appears reddened it is likely mastitis. Contact your doc for guidance as needed.
