Get checked: please see your gynecologist or family doctor. It is important that you worked up in person. If there is a lump, there can be other reasons besides cancer, like infection.

Unlikely cancer: It is is more likely that the lump in your lactating breast is due to engorgement, a painful condition of congestion (can lead to mastitis, an infection). Since engorgement can interfere with the let down process, infants may reject that breast because they cannot effectively nurse from it. Your gynecologist can help you sort this out. Best wishes
