Depends on Symptoms: You haven't told us why the CA19-9 was ordered, nor did you mention any symptoms that you were experiencing. These are important in interpreting any lab or imaging result. Use HealthTap Prime. A test (like CA 19-9),can be a false positive due to CHANCE ALONE. It may mean nothing, especially if there's no prior reason to think that it should be abnormal. CA 19-9 is made by cells lining the abdomen.

Why was it checked?: As a cancer screen, this test is infamous for having so many false positives as to outweigh the possible lives saved. Your physician ordered it and now it is his / her decision to go on a hunt for something that more than likely isn't there. You may get some imaging. If there are no masses, forget the whole thing.
