Get seen.: You may have a bacterial or a viral infection. Please get checked out. Ask for a strep culture (not a throat culture or a rapid strep), it costs about 30 dollars, and will tell you whether or not you need antibiotics. Docs will make a good guess based on clinical guidelines, but these can be wrong, and for the cost of a worthless box of Mucinex, you can get a definite answer.

Flu?: Sounds like a viral syndrome. Would treat with symptomatic fixes. Lots of fluids and stay hydrated. Ice blocks are perfect for this. Water, milk, juice, sports drinks are all good. As for the fever it is ok to alternate pamol every 6 hours with ibuprofen every 8 hours. Decongestants and anti-histamines will help with the upper resp symptoms. Rest chicken soup are also good. See Dr if not better

Flu??: Does sound like some sort of viral illness. It is important though to get checked out for the possibility of either bacterial tonsillitis or bacterial chest infection. Safest to get checked by a doctor licensed in your area as may need an examination and/or tests. These should be done urgently if breathing or swallowing difficulties or severe headache.
