Sound like flare up: What you described sounds like a flare up from IBS. However, if you're worried about ovarian cancer, you need to bring it up with your doctor so he/she can guide you in the right direction.

IBS: Do you have IBS or IBD? There is a difference. Ovarian cancer is not very common, but if you have family history of it, or of breast cancer in first generation family members, you will want to check with your gynecologist for regular exams. Do you have bowel movement changes that point more to colonic issues? An exam by your primary MD and some bloodwork if warranted would be a first step.
