A member asked:

I'm getting a cavity filled and they said they won't numb anything is that normal? two i had filled before (no numbing) hurt, so should i be worried?

Not Normal But: I dont think it is normal. Most dentist will numb the area with a local anesthetic before doing the filling. But some may do it without local anesthesia and that will surely hurt. But you had two without numbing and were able to tolerate the pain.Ask the dentist that you prefer thathe/she numbs it before filling if that is what you want
