Why is it that baclofen interacts with clonazepam?took baclofen and felt more anxious. currently tapering off of 0.5mg clonazepam. gaba interaction?

Side effect: What you're describing is likely a side effect and not an interaction. Klonopin should block anxiety symptoms, but, although baclofen is typically sedative, it causes anxiety in some people. This is a paradoxical side effect and not an interaction. Think twice before you taper off klonopin (tapering really isn't necessary due to the long 1/2 life); it's a good muscle relaxer. Stop the baclofen.
