Check with F. doctor: When sore throat lasts so long you need to get checked by your family physician. He will do appropriate things like throat swab and phlegm culture etc. And check your lungs and lymph nodes in the neck etc.

Many possibilities: It could be a viral infection. It could be strep throat. Or allergies. Or laryngitis. Or acid reflux. Myriad of possibilities, so an accurate diagnosis is key to getting the best treatment. Use HealthTap Prime or talk to your doctor about your symptoms. Good luck.

Pharyngitis?: It sounds like a pharyngitis or an upper respiratory infection which has lasted longer than they usually do. The vast majority of these are viral, but since yours has lasted so long, it deserves being seen by your doctor, to see if they think you might need antibiotics. With your symptoms lasting this long, I would try to be seen soon. Good luck.
