Ive had a sore throat and cough for two weeks and my tongue feels swollen. what could this be?

Check with F. doctor: When sore throat lasts so long you need to get checked by your family physician. He will do appropriate things like throat swab and phlegm culture etc. And check your lungs and lymph nodes in the neck etc.
