What is your opinion of high dheas blood level of 835 (19-231 mcg/dl)? would pcos be responsible for this high of a level?

Elevated: DHEA-s can and often is elevated in pcos. It also can be due to adrenal issues, so in levels this high (which can vary throughout a 24 hour cycle) you probably need to rule out adrenal issues before completely attributing this to pcos.

Yes PCOS + others: Normal=60-340 (premenopause), lower post. 130-340 in men. DHEAS is a male hormone made in the adrenal gland. Elevated DHEAS may indicate PCOS, an adrenocortical tumor, Cushing disease, adrenal cancer, or adrenal hyperplasia, or rarely a DHEAS-producing ovarian tumor. Elevated DHEAS can also be caused by taking DHEA supplement, metformin, calcium channel blockers, and nicotine. Discuss w/PCP.
