Mri found a node between my abdominal wall and latissimus dorsi. the mri said it strongly represents a lymph node and that it enhanced and is t2 weighted. is this bad? i see a surgeon next week, but need to know if this is bad??

Need more info: Before we can interpret a test we need to know why the test was done in the first place? In case you have had any symptoms such as a swelling or pain on your trunk, there would not be a reason to do a MRI. If you can share this info and also the MRI report(How big is the lymph node?), then we can guide you further. Lymph nodes can be normal as long as they are small (1cm or less in size).

Not necessarily: Lymph nodes can be enlarged for a number of reasons, they are basically a filtering system for the body and can become enlarged by inflammatory or infectious or other etiologies, many of which are quite benign. You can certainly discuss directly with the surgeon.
