Metamucil: itself is colorless...The color of the stool is almost always a DIETARY source..when BILE is present enough to COLOR the stool there is most likely a PROBLEM (Liver) Hope this is helpful Dr Z

Metamucil: Metamucil does not cause bright green stools. Stool color can change on its own, and bright green is not only not abnormal, it's just fine. I would continue the Metamucil since it provides great fiber for the bowels. No need to stop it. Hope that helps.
