A member asked:

I am making my own decision to start occasional once every few months b12 shots. my md said ok. can someone tell me what the usual freq of inj. is?

WHY?????: Do you have low B12??? There are several ways this may occur. If you do not have deficiency there is no harm but no benefit. Why shots when oral supplementation is just as effective? Causes include autoimmune pernicious anemia, vegan diet, chronic use of H2 or PPI stomach meds, long term use of metformin, stomach or intestinal surgery. You seem to be asking the wrong question. Have a good reason.
