A member asked:

Swelling at the top behind the knee, no red, no purple. with mild burning and sporadic pain in the leg and ankle, what can it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, and physical examination, however what you described suggests a Baker cyst. It is an outpouching of the synovial lining of the joint. It would be prudent to see a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.
