Finger pain: That joint may be inflamed of sprained from injury of overuse. Lack of redness would tend to rule out an infectious process. You could try taking an anti-inflammatory medication like Advil of Aleve for a week. If symptoms persist I recommend consultation with a hand surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.
