A member asked:

Anal itching that results in bleeding and what looks like a clear liquid leaking, no pain. seems to be from hemorrhoids and is only on the surface of the anus. is there something topical that can help release the itching so it can heal w/out a dr?

Need more info: Rectal itching is very common and can be associated by bleeding, diabetes, straining to have a BM, parasitic infection and of course hemorrhoids. You might try an over the counter product like Preparation H ointment. If you see no relief in 3-4 days then it would be wise to see your family physician.

Over the counter: creams for treatment of hemorrhoids are several, (e.g. Preparation H) you can use those, but keep the area clean and dry after bowel movements, cut your finger nails short, avoid constipation,, etc.. If despite that you still have symptoms, you better see your doctor, online / self treatment then, won't help
