Ask your dentist: Upper front teeth should overlap about 25% of lower front teeth when back teeth are fully in contact. Have your Dentist evaluate your occlusion. Or see an occlusion expert an Orthodontic Specialist. Initial examination usually free.

Ideal occlusion: Very few if anybody has an ideal occlusion. Rather than for us to try to guess what your particular situation is, I recommend you see an Orthodontist to determine whether or not you would benefit from Orthodontics and if so what the length of treatment and fee would be. Also consult with your own General Dentist as sometimes minor occlusal adjustments can improve your bite.
