Pain: You never said what's in pain, or what's the cause of the pain. Obviously if OTC analgesics combined with steroid are not giving you relief, you require a different course of treatment. If your pain is from dental cause, see your Dentist. If from medical cause, see your Physician. You are treating symptoms, not the cause of the pain. You need more help than just self-medication.

What r u treating?: and where is the pain? Prednisone is an anti inflammatory medicine and not a pain killer, and is a prescription medication. Kindly contact or see your doctor or any doctor either urgent care or ER, best wishes
