That's common: Having sinus congestion or even pneumonia can make you cough up various colored phlegm. The color doesn't necessarily tell us if it's infected or not. I would say, though, if it's red, keep an eye on it. If you think it's blood or notice frank blood, then you should be seen. Pneumonia is a common cause of coughing up blood, or hemoptysis.
