17 years 8 months.: This is a permanent procedure, it causes pain and has side effects. Since there is the potential of complications that can be serious and it is purely cosmetic, let her choose to have it done. Her standards are not yours. No 4 month old would consent to being hurt for any reason. You would not pierce her nipples or give her tattoos, right?
