A member asked:

How can you stop pumpkin (carotene) turning skin orange, aside from not eating it eg adding fat to it, taking laxatives, mineral oil etc?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You don't: The vitamin A in the food selectively attaches to fat cells beneath the skin. The more you consume, the more will attach. The orange tinge is what the eye sees from the light bouncing off the vitamin A molecule as it hits your skin.
