White nails: A nail that is detached from nail bed can be white. Other causes can be fungal infection or poor blood supply to nail from conditions like cirrhosis, diabetes, iron-deficiency anemia, chemotherapy, malnutrition, hyperthyroidism, or failure of organs such as liver, kidney or heart. Your doctor can shed more light on this.
