Yellow is the norm: Everybody's urine is yellowish. That is the color of human urine. It gets more yellowish if there is less water in it, or if a person eats or drinks stuff that has ingredients that increase urine yellowness. Urine gets more clear (less yellowish) if there is more water in it. If urine is getting darker and darker, one's primary care doctor can check to see if there is a medical problem.
