I would return to: the Doctor for reassessment. The diagnosis is in question if no blisters are forming. Additional tests can confirm whether it is chicken pox/variella or not. It may be another viral illness with rash; perhaps not even an infectious disease. With correct diagnosis school recommendations can be given. The general recommendation is return to school when all spots are scabbed but if no blisters/scabs?
