Currently taking mirtazapine (remeron) 22.5mg. it helps w/ insomnia and appetite but not anxiety/panic. what would be a good second med/combo with remeron to help with panic/anxiety?

Psychiatrist: A psychiatrist is best qualified to answer this question, but in my experience, if stress management and cognitive therapy aren't effective, medications such as ativan or klonipin have been used to combat chronic anxiety and panic or phobias. The dosage should be low and I would avoid this combination in elderly patients.
