Contact allergy: The timing is compatible with a newly developed contact allergy to things applied on your knee around the surgery. The most likely culprits include glue from tape, anti-septic prep, or even latex. If the incision site looks clean, a topical cortisone can be used (but avoid the site of the incision). Ice pack may calm the itching as well as joint swelling as well.
