Needs to be checked: We do not have enough information to answer what is causing the red blisters, and some have been present for 22 years. We dont know the location of these blisters and how often these keep popping up and any other associated symptoms like itching or pain.Since you have had them foe 22 years and they keep popping up.I suggest you get these checked by your doctor or a dermatologist to find out what is

A 35-year-old member asked:

Just started birth control again. There is clearish fluid discharging from breasts. What could it be?

Probably nothing: Birth control pills are known to cause hormonal resets in a woman's body. Breast is hormone regulated organ, so that is no surprise you are reacting the way you are. Chances are with the next cycle you may not have any, although, i did have patients who were lactating all along. In that case, i'd check prolactin level and rule out other causes for lactation.
A member asked:

My 11 year old son cut his shin open on a piece of metal, does not need stitches, we can't remember when his last tetnus shot was, what are symptoms to look for ? Thank you.

Things to consider. : Your son is 11 years of age and he is due to have a tetanus booster at this age. As for the shin cut, hopefully it was cleaned with hydrogen peroxide and treated with an antibiotic ointment. The best thing to do is to schedule an appointment with his pediatrician or family physician to get his shot and check on his cut.

A 30-year-old female asked:

I am allergic to milk and eggs since birth, how can I improve my calcium levels?

Diet or supplement: Calcium is present in a number of non bovine products. Goat's milk, feta cheese, fortified orange juice, other milk substitutes, etc. It is also readily as a straight calcium pill, often sold with vitamin d added. Another simple source is "tums" that has calcium in its antacid tablets.

If I had a body scan today, when can I restart taking my hormone medicine?

Depends on hormones : I think that would depend on the type of hormone you are talking about and the scan you had. If you didnt get instructions then check with your doctor first. Did you have a thyroid scan? Was it a bone scan or a density scan?

A 46-year-old female asked:

I ve had hbp ranging from 170 /110 and pulse at about 100 120 most of the time for about a week despite taking BP drugs. Ekg was negative. Thoughts?

Check with the doc: Many blood pressure medications take longer than a week to have their full effect. Check with your doctor as you may need a higher dose or another medication. Hbp is damaging over the long term most of the time and not over a few days so check with your doctor.
