Foot numb: May take 4 to 6 weeks to resolve . Recommend ice and antinflammmatory . Also avoid compression on area.

Boots too tight!: It sounds like the new boots compressed a nerve under the skin. The specific area of the foot that is numb would determine which nerve. Recovery is slow, but usually occurs eventually. Not much to do to change it. Most important: change something about the boots! Buckle them looser, get them modified or adjusted, or replace them. Your feet are more important than the boots.
