This situations are: difficult to explain. Certainly, he might have trichomonas that he has had for sometime (before you got together); it would not be unusual if he tested negative--sampling problems, not enough material to test, etc. Many cases of trichomonas have no symptoms. Or you may have had it for some time and now symptoms appear. If trust has been earned, I wouldn't let this destroy relationship. Good wishes

Curious wording: You might already been infected even before you met your current partner even though you showed no symptoms then.
