Need More Info: Even if a large stock metal tray was used to take your impression, the soft tissues overlying the bone and teeth can sometimes be irritated, especially if one has protruding bone (exostosis/tori), which can be easily irritated. If you have mobile (loose) teeth that have significant periodontal disease, it is possible you could have pain and swelling after the impression. Call your dentist.
