A member asked:

I have a headache in the back (too portion) of my head. it feels like it's inflamed (swelling) similar to the pain after you've been hit. tingling too?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Occipital nerves: Occipital nerves run in the back of the head and I often see headache patients with tenderness in this area. Not unusual to see or hear for a neurologist and I'd say almost every headache patient I see has some degree of tenderness in this area. If its a problems, thing can be done to help out. See a neurologist that like to treat headaches.
