Occipital nerves: Occipital nerves run in the back of the head and I often see headache patients with tenderness in this area. Not unusual to see or hear for a neurologist and I'd say almost every headache patient I see has some degree of tenderness in this area. If its a problems, thing can be done to help out. See a neurologist that like to treat headaches.
