No confirm on single: A single reading isn't diagnostic; resting blood pressure (RBP) varies. True RBP is taken after 10 minutes of laying quietly in a closed room (no lights or sounds)- not usual test condition. In general, SRBP readingS (upper no.) of 120-139 mmHg or DRBP readings (lower no.) of 80-89 mmHg is called "prehypertension," considered a risk factor for hypertension (a medical condition which requires meds)

This is a normal : In adults it should be taken after resting for 5 minutes from the arm with the highest BP. There is a normal range between 90-135 for the higher number and less then 85 for the low number . It goes up with age
