Laryngitis: sore throat be due to tonsillitis/pharyngitis but also can be due to other illnesses such as laryngitis and tracheitis (which might be why swab negative). Here is some general information but would advise if breathing difficulties to go to the emergency room immediately. https://patient.info/health/laryngitis-leaflet

Revisit doctor.: Just because a throat swab was negative doesn't mean you don't have an active infection that might need to be addressed, especially if your symptoms have been progressing through the weekend. You should visit the doctor again in follow-up to see if any treatment might be necessary.

I assume you are: talking about a sore throat. Don't know if you have underlying lung disease such as asthma, but if you are having double breathing there is no choice but to go urgently back to your doctor's office or Urgent Care Center. It is about 3 days since you were last examined, and things may have changed. You may not have strep throat, but ? other infection that is inflaming your throat/airways. Go now!
