Avian TB: The main causes of avian TB are bacteria called Mycobacterium avium complex, or MAC. They can infect humans, but almost always with no symptoms or disease, except in people with advanced immune deficicency. MAC infections are fairly common in people with AIDS. I have no way of guessing the number of such infections in your country. But this should be no worry at all in healthy persons.

Explanation q: Yes mycobacterium avian can infect humans, most often like lymphadenitis. Can be treated successfully with surgical removal and antibiotics
