Serious: These cardiovascular symptoms are serious and should be reported to your treating physician as soon as possible. Both palpitations and hypotension have been reported as side effects of nortriptyline. You may be referred for thyroid tests and to a cardiologist to determine the exact nature of your palpitations and for follow-up of your low blood pressure.
