YES: Most of these viruses (eg: Norovirus) LIVE ON SURFACES thus HAND WASHING and NOT SHARING dishes , bathroom supplies are the only way to avoid the vurus. BLEACH clean all surfaces touched by the infected person! Hope this helps Dr Z
