Probably yes: Almost all of the gas in the abdomen disappears within 24 hours of the surgery. If your abdomen remains tight and distended (enlarged) I might wait a few days until it resumes a more normal size. A week out from surgery there will not be a problem. Only concern is that you might be flying somewhere remote where there isn't adequate medical care if a problem develops.
