Sprain?: Do get some numbness and movement restriction with soft tissue swelling but seems of concern that this has persisted this far out and tendon problem may need to be considered. Recommend re-examination by a doctor licensed in your area with a discussion about whether may be wise to reconsider investigations such as X-ray/scans. Is difficult to comment further on this forum without examination.

X-ray: Without seeing the finger I would not want to contradict your doctor's opinion. However, the only reliable way to tell if it is fractured or not is to get an X-ray. Asking for an x-ray if it is still causing you pain after 10 days of rest is not unreasonable.

Sore pinky: If no x ray was done, you should obtain an x ray. If an x ray was done and no fracture was seen, there could still be a stress fracture depending on when it was taken. And of course the film could have been read wrong. You can wait another week or have another X ray done or a CT scan of the finger. CT scan would help provide more details. You should also follow up with your physician.
