Trigger finger: This condition is called trigger finger. It happens when the tendons of that individual finger are inflamed and unable to slide freely within the canal. It can be made worse by overuse, diabetes or arthritis. There are specific stretches and exercises you can do to help relieve the stiffness, and resting or anti-inflammatories can help to reduce the swelling and allow normal motion.
