Probably not: Painless lumps are often cysts or lipomas (abnormal fatty growth), sometimes a lymph node (unlikely in that location). If the lump is not bothering you, it is safe to do nothing, as long as nothing changes, like it is getting bigger, painful, or changes in the overlying skin. A surgeon can easily remove cysts or lipomas as an outpatient, if that will give you peace of mind. Very rarely a cancer.
