Generally no.: The appendix is located on the right side in almost all people. Appendicitis pain is typically located in the right lower abdomen. If you are having left sided pain, there are many other structures in women, including the fallopian tubes, ovaries, kidney stones, colon issues. If you are having left lower abdominal pain, and if you might be pregnant, go to ER to rule out ectopic pregnancy.
