A member asked:

After my genital warts disappeared, i still feel an itch in my pubic area. is the itch caused by my immune response to remnants of the virus?

Atypical location: The pubic area (basically the hairy area in front of the genitals) is not a common site for genital warts. Are you itching exactly where the warts were? Was your doctor certain of the diagnosis? Warts usually don't itch, even in areas where the immune system helped clear them up. Perhaps a yeast infection? Best to check with the doctor or clinic where your warts were treated. Good luck!
