No. Yes.: It is not normal for normal people to get severe panic attacks. Often, panic attacks are triggered by some psychologically stressful event. That said, when a person has a panic attack, it would be normal to get pale, lightheaded, and sometimes vomit. Thus, it is important for such a patient to see her primary care provider to get a diagnosis and treatment. There are some good medications for this.
